Join A Harvest

The Protect the Harvest Campaign offers a unique opportunity to volunteer alongside Palestinian farming communities during the annual olive harvest. Based in villages in the West Bank, participants spend a week working in the olive groves, sharing meals with local families, and supporting farmers during one of the most culturally and economically significant seasons of the year.

Protect the Harvest is a collaborative initiative involving over a dozen participating organizations.

Through hands-on participation, cultural exchange, and meaningful relationships with local communities, participants gain a deeper understanding of life in the West Bank and the challenges facing agricultural communities. The experience is complemented by educational workshops, discussions, and community-led activities that explore themes of resilience, nonviolent advocacy, and everyday life in the region, creating a powerful and immersive learning experience.

Please review the program details carefully to learn more about Protect the Harvest, the organizations involved, and the nature of the program activities. In order to register, you will be required to read and agree to the Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risks, Waiver of Rights, and Releases from Liability.

Accommodation Considerations: Participants will be housed in the West Bank, depending on where support is most needed during the olive harvest. Accommodation assignments may change before or during the program based on the evolving needs of Palestinian farmers and partner organizations, and participants should be prepared for this flexibility. Lodging will consist of comfortable hotels and/or family homestays. While accommodations may differ from one location to another, the program is committed to providing participants with a comparable standard of comfort and hospitality across all sites. Israeli citizens, and any other participants who are prohibited under Israeli law from entering Area A of the Palestinian Authority, will be provided with accommodations that fully comply with applicable legal requirements while still allowing them to participate in the olive harvest and other program activities. Participants may therefore be assigned to different accommodations based on their legal status, but every effort will be made to ensure a comparable participant experience.
